The Charity Veterinary Hospital - under the aegis of the Animal Friends Trust, is a realization of a dream.
An ardent animal lover, Anurag once dreamt of providing life-saving facilities to the homeless creatures, which would never fetch attention otherwise. Duly supported by his family, the Charity Veterinary Hospital is an initiative and Bikaner now boasts the first of its kind of hospital for animal welfare both - homeless and domestic, large and small.

This is first of its kind of hospital in the state of Rajasthan where homeless and domestic, large and small animals are treated free of cost.

The future plan of the trust is to organize clinical camps in remote rural areas where such facilities are not available to treat animals. The trust will also form a network of similar organizations to help organize such camps so that the animal health care could be brought to the attention of the people.

News/Update

Apu rest in piece

"I think their spirit goes up there, to Sirius, the Dog Star. I can't imagine anything else that would keep it burning so bright and constant." - Captain Ezra Harper, from the novel, DogStar

After a prolonged struggle with cancer, our beloved Apu has passed on to the next realm and won’t be with us on this planet Earth anymore. She died peacefully on 14th June 2009. It was Apu who inspired Anurag and the family to establish this charity veterinary hospital - first of its kind of hospital in the North India where homeless and domestic, large and small animals are treated free of cost. So far, more than 5000 animals have been treated in the hospital for various ailments in and around Bikaner.

The grief and pain because of this loss is certainly inevitable: During this difficult time that comes with the Loss of Apu, we are here in support and in understanding how much our pets have given to us in their unconditional love and made our life a little more better.
